30Kva dry transformer 3 phase to 3 phase support 3000W XING LASER laser machine

A 30kVA 3-phase dry transformer with 240V input and 380V output can easily support a 3000W laser welding machine. A 30kVA transformer is capable of handling up to approximately 30,000 watts of power, while the laser welder only requires about 3,000 watts, which is only around 10% of the transformer’s capacity. This provides plenty of power headroom for stable operation and startup surge loads. As long as the power source is true 3-phase 240V input, and the transformer is properly grounded with correctly sized wiring and breakers, the setup should operate without issue.

Power comparison (this is the key)

  • Transformer capacity: 30 kVA = 30,000 VA
  • Your laser: 3000 W ≈ 3 kW

Even if we assume:

  • Power factor ≈ 0.9
  • Real usable power ≈ 27 kW

Current check (more practical view)

For a 3-phase system:

I=30,0003×38045AI = \frac{30,000}{\sqrt{3} \times 380} \approx 45A

So your transformer can supply roughly:

  • ~40–45 amps at 380V

Your 3 kW machine will only draw around:

  • ~5–6 amps (3-phase 380V)
